These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your engagement with African Scepter Investments ("African Scepter," "we," "us"), a firm headquartered in Kampala, Uganda, providing investment advisory, consultation, and related services. By requesting a consultation, engaging our services, or using this website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Nature of Services
African Scepter provides investment advisory and consultation services, with a primary office in Kampala, Uganda, project operations supporting mining concessions in the Democratic Republic of Congo, an affiliate presence in Toronto, Canada and Cape Town, South Africa, and a Property Management & Development service line focused on East Africa.
Nothing on our public website constitutes a binding offer, solicitation, or investment recommendation. Specific terms of any engagement are established individually following a consultation.
2. Consultation Fees
A client engaging African Scepter for advisory services pays a consultation fee upfront. This fee is distinct from, and not credited against, any principal a client subsequently chooses to invest. Once paid, the consultation fee is not refundable, regardless of whether the client proceeds to invest afterward.
3. Payments
All payments to African Scepter — including the consultation fee and any subsequent investment capital — are arranged directly by an African Scepter advisor following consultation. We do not operate a public, self-service payment page. A client never selects a payment method or enters payment details on our public website; instead, an advisor generates a secure, single-use payment link or wire instructions specific to that client's engagement, sent directly to them.
Accepted payment methods (card, mobile money, wire transfer, or supported cryptocurrency) are determined case-by-case by your advisor and disclosed only through that direct, secure channel.
4. Client Portal
Upon completion of a qualifying payment, we provision access to a private client portal, which provides visibility into your portfolio value, transaction history, and account status. Portal access is a benefit of an active engagement and is not available for public self-registration.
5. Withdrawals and Termination
Withdrawal of invested funds occurs upon termination of the client relationship. A client may submit a withdrawal request through the client portal; African Scepter processes approved withdrawals by wire transfer directly from the firm's own banking relationship. We do not operate an automated, self-service payout system, and clients do not select a payout method or destination through the portal — the portal is for requesting and tracking withdrawal status only.
6. Confidentiality
We treat client identity, portfolio details, and communications as confidential, consistent with the discreet, relationship-based nature of our advisory practice. We do not disclose client information to third parties except as required by law or with the client's consent.
7. Risk Disclosure
Investing involves risk, including the potential loss of principal. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Nothing in these Terms or on our website should be construed as a guarantee of investment returns.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your engagement with African Scepter shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
